Queue system for pop-up shops and markets

Start a clear service queue for a temporary shop, market stall or product launch. A QR sign makes the waiting order visible without a permanent ticket setup.

Where waiting gets complicated

A short sales window can bring many visitors at once. Physical lines may block nearby stalls or make it difficult for shoppers to explore the products.

How the workflow works

Customers join by QR code or link, follow their place on their phone, and staff call one customer at a time.

  1. Create a service queue and place its QR code or link where customers arrive.
  2. Customers take a digital ticket and follow their place and estimated wait on their phone.
  3. Staff advance the queue as they are ready. Show the current number on a shared screen.

A practical example

At a weekend launch, shoppers take a QR ticket for personal product advice and browse the display while waiting. Staff call the next number as they become available. A stall handing over prepared orders can use a separate pickup board.

Also hand over prepared orders? Use a separate pickup board with your existing order numbers.

Questions before you start

Do we need dedicated ticket hardware for a temporary venue?

No dedicated ticket dispenser is needed for QR entry. Use internet-connected staff devices and, if useful, a browser-based display. Check connectivity at the venue before opening.

Can this run alongside our booking or checkout system?

Yes, as a separate queue for people waiting for service. Your existing system still handles bookings, payments and customer records. Staff manage the queue in Linelemon; it does not automatically synchronize with those systems.

What equipment and connection do we need?

Use an internet-connected phone, tablet or computer for staff, and a browser on a screen for the display. Customers do not need to install an app to join a queue or view the board. Keep the internet connection available during service.

What is free, and when do we need Pro?

Yes. Service queues and pickup boards are free to use. Browser notifications when it is your turn in a service queue are also free. Customize Pro is an optional paid subscription for branding, customization and advance queue reminders. SMS reminders require Pro and separate prepaid balance.
