Staff use existing receipt numbers and show several ready orders at once without a POS integration.
- Keep the order numbers already printed by your till or written on your tickets.
- When an order is ready, staff enter its number in Linelemon from a phone, tablet or computer.
- The display shows several ready orders together. Staff remove each number when it is collected.
A practical example
At a street-food market, orders B7 and B9 finish while B8 is still cooking. Staff enter B7 and B9 on the board, displayed beside the collection window. After each handover, staff remove the number so the next customer sees a current view.
Questions before you start
Does the pickup board work offline at an event?
The staff view and pickup display need an internet connection. Test connectivity at the venue before service and use your normal collection method if the connection is unavailable.
Does the pickup display connect to our POS or send order-ready texts?
Staff enter existing order numbers manually; no POS connection is needed. Several numbers can be ready at once. SMS reminders belong to service queues and are not order-ready messages from the pickup board.
What equipment and connection do we need?
Use an internet-connected phone, tablet or computer for staff, and a browser on a screen for the display. Customers do not need to install an app to join a queue or view the board. Keep the internet connection available during service.
What is free, and when do we need Pro?
Yes. Service queues and pickup boards are free to use. Browser notifications when it is your turn in a service queue are also free. Customize Pro is an optional paid subscription for branding, customization and advance queue reminders. SMS reminders require Pro and separate prepaid balance.
